Master of Hip Hop made in the UK : TY has gained quite a reputation with his skill conjugating groove and lyrics that hit the mark. The native Nigerian started as a live act in the US before he successfully started to invite all big names such as De La Soul, Speech Arrested Development, Bahamadia, Rich Medina or Zion. Add the English vocalists Eska and Vuly and you get some of the sweetest sounds in black music. With the albums Upward in 2003 and Closer clearly illustrating a career that can´t help pushing at its own high limits. Welcomed no less by the press than by the public, TY creates hip hop with a groove that is without a doubt one of the most successful of the current scene. And we haven’t even considered his unforgettable live performances.
